Family/Marital, Attachment & ART
My younger sister died by suicide in 2012. Four years later, another loved one died by suicide. After years of not knowing how to deal with the grief of these events—I finally came to therapy. Part of my learning (and unlearning) has been letting go of outside expectations and connecting to my deeper self. This inner work has brought peace, and the energy to show up for others in a meaningful way. My master's program allowed me the space to research and explore the intersection of religion and sexuality-something that is personal to me. I feel honored to sit with folks who are navigating these complicated spaces.
One of the tools that helped me through my trauma was Accelerated Resolution Therapy. Because of it's impact, I have been trained to use ART. I value a direct and collaborative relationship with my clients. I conceptualize treatment in a way that encourages you to trust yourself, while offering perspective to help you identify and change unwanted patterns.
